Unlocking his Journal entry requires defeating him in Dirtmouth. While he can be fought in the Pantheon of Hallownest and the Hall of Gods, defeating him there does not unlock his Journal entry.

Pure Vessel is kind of a reactive fight that flows well and NKG just requires consistent reacting over a longer duration. But Grey Prince Zote changes more from fight to fight due to those aforementioned enemies spawning in.
