The GAF Nomad is a utility aircraft produced by the Government Aircraft Factories (GAF) of Australia in Melbourne. The twin-turboprop, high-wing aircraft has a retractable gear and came in two variants: the initial N22, followed by the stretched N24.

First deliveries of the production N22 (to the Philippines military) began in 1975. Features of the new utility included retractable undercarriage, two Allison 250 turboprops, a braced high mounted wing with full span double slotted flaps and a squared sided fuselage.

Federal government approval for construction of two flying prototypes and a static test airframe was announced in January 1970. The first prototype N22 Nomad (VH-SUP) flew at Avalon airfield, Victoria on 23 July 1971 with test pilot Stuart Pearce at the controls.

These are the short-takeoff-and-landing (STOL) Nomad N22B and the Nomad N24A commuter aircraft. Variations on the basic aircraft include the Mission Master, the Search Master for maritime surveillance work, and a photographic and mapping model.
