2021年8月18日 · The Taliban’s takeover of Kabul means that Nowzad – the non-profit that has spent nearly 15 years reuniting stray dogs with the soldiers who rescued them – no longer has a future in Afghanistan.

Nowzad is now back in Afghanistan (after the events of the evacuation of Kabul during 2021) managing a small animal clinic, dog and cat shelter and the first ever donkey sanctuary in Afghanistan. The Nowzad charity is now also operating in Ukraine to provide desperately needed supplies for animal shelters affected by Russia's illegal invasion.
