Nu Shooz is an American R&B group fronted by husband-and-wife team of John Smith and Valerie Day, based in Portland, Oregon. Nu Shooz released four albums in the U.S. during the 1980s. Poolside, their third album, brought the group's sound to a wider audience.

NU SHOOZ was nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy in 1987. In 2013, Nu Shooz join joined the 80's revival tours, "Superfreestyle Explosion" and "Lost *80's," sharing the stage with acts like Expose', The Jets, Animotion, WangChung, Flock of Seagulls, Boy George, and More.

Nu Shooz never got to play in South America, but we made quite a splash there back in the day. For people of a certain age, the memories live on. And, as Lautaro's YouTube channel shows, a whole new generation of music lovers is discovering the 80s!
