NZNO staff work with members to negotiate Collective Agreements (CAs) with employers which prescribe the rates of pay and working conditions of employment in the workplace. Once a CA has been agreed, we work with members and their employer to ensure that the pay rates and working conditions are observed.

Outstanding contributions to nursing are recognised each year at the annual NZNO Conference. This is NZNO's honour roll, our heroes.

The Primary Health Care Multi Employer Collective Agreement (PHC MECA) covers around 3500 NZNO members including: registered nurses, practice nurses, midwives, enrolled nurses, health care assistants, medical receptionists and administrators.
