The scores screen is a great way to see past results for every game that happens on each day. When a day is finished, you'll have the option to view the Watch Replay, Highlight Reel, Box Score, and Game Log. For days that have yet to be played, the games will still appear showing the matchup, but not have any of the additional options.

From my experience it’s closely tied to your team’s performance and how many (regular season) wins you get, and it’s unfortunately pretty useless.

In OOTP, at the end of each season, you will receive a 'Manager Score' from the game. A score of 1000 is described as perfect but occasionally OOTP will award more than 1000 points. (No, you can't change this scale.) Manager scores have no real impact on the game. They're just a way of assigning a number to your performance.
