The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), part of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and supervised by the FBI, is responsible for investigating lawyers employed by the Department of Justice who have been accused of misconduct or crime in the exercise of their professional functions.

OPR reviews consider the systems and procedures used by local authorities in the context of a number of key areas of statutory planning service delivery. The Office will analyse performance under these headings utilising a range of available evidence as well as information and reports provided by the local authority being reviewed.
