To ensure the long-term stability and quality of the OpenStreetMap project, we invite all corporate and organizational users of OSM to join the OSM Foundation as corporate members. An OSMF Corporate Membership is the best way for companies to coordinate and collaborate with the global OSM community.

In our aim to grow and diversify OSMF membership, there is an opportunity to grow membership in regions and countries where there are no or very few OSMF members.

If you have mapped at least 42 days in the last year, or if you are active in OpenStreetMap with non-mapping activities, we would like you to become a member of the OSMF even if you can't pay the membership fee. You can apply for an active contributor membership.

The members are the sovereign body of the Foundation. There are two types of member: Normal members; Associate members; The rights and powers of each type of member are different: Normal members are legal members of the company under the Companies Act. They have ultimate control over the Foundation. Associate members have more limited rights.

We expect corporate members to conduct themselves as good citizens of the OpenStreetMap ecosystem. Corporate Members are Associate Members without voting rights. The membership fee for individuals is currently £15 per year and you can join even for free, if you are an active contributor with at least 42 mapping days in the last 365 days, or if you are equally active in OpenStreetMap with non-mapping activities. You do not have to be a member in order to use or contribute to OpenStreetMap.
