2015年12月17日 · Does anyone know what transistors were used in the actual SS tonebender mkIII? I'd like to stay as close to the original sound as possible. I've read through several forums and build reports and have seen everything from the russian made gt402V and gt108V to oc81's. 2N404's and AC128's have been listed as being used as well.

2021年3月2日 · I’d suggest putting the two withe the lowest hfe up front for Q1 and Q2, and then the highest hfe with moderate leakage in Q3. So maybe number 4 or 8. If you have a breadboard, I would solder some jumper leads on and test a few in Q3 to see what you like.

2020年12月13日 · The actual part number of the transistor doesn't matter as much as the type (PNP or NPN) and the gain value (hfe usually). Leakage also sometimes matters, but I'll let you do your own research on that. The Tone Bender MKII uses PNP transistors, so common substitutes are AC125, OC44, OC75, 2N404, 2N508, & 2N527.
