I purchased my kit from Model Expo at a considerable discount as compared to having purchased through Occre. Kit arrived at my doorstep here in Canada 12 days after I ordered it online.

2024年11月19日 · If you have already built at least one kit from Occre, you will not be surprised to see Occre's signature box with an open window showing the transparent container with small parts (fittings). The kit manufacturer is very good and its service, such as sending missing or damaged parts or answering questions on the kit, is excellent. 2025年2月11日 · The Fram kit by OcCre certainly has a lot of good quality material including MDF falsekeel and zinc-based metal parts. The rigging threads galore and sewn sails will certainly please anyone who loves cotton ropes to rig their models. The color photo step-by-step instructions seem very simple to follow, as usual for OcCre's standard manual.

2021年12月17日 · This is just my opinion from my experience with Occre and Corel. For new or mid-level builders Occre kits are the best value overall. Instructions are excellent with color pictures guiding the way ( 9 on a 1-10 scale). I have not had a problem with the materials, they were very good. Customer service is absolutely first class.

2019年2月10日 · So, I've started this build log of Occre's Revenge. I've only built one other ship, Le Renard. I didn't want to spend too much whilst learning this new trade, so I opted for the Revenge , as well as the interest in one of the most famous ships of the Elizabethan era, captained by Sir Frances Drake during the Spanish Armada period and Sir Richard Grenville on her famous last voyage.

2020年10月20日 · I am considering 3 alternatives: Mantua 1:100, Panart 1:84, or OCCRE 1:100. I am a bit reluctant to consider the 1:84 scale since this will mean a pretty long ship (125cm) and more difficult to fit in a display cabinet. 2022年1月31日 · My first build was the Albatros. The OcCre instructions said to file down the nail heads after the planks are set. I tried filing down a couple, which was quite difficult and wasn't working out well. Someone advised me not to file the nail heads down but to remove the nails. Basically, I had to dig them out, but I think it worked out for the best.

2023年10月10日 · I ordered a kit last week and asked Occre on the delivery in EU. The answer i got is: Once the order is received, we begin the process of engraving the plate as well as numbering the box. We also include a thank you text inside. The shipping time is about 5 business days, and once the order is sent, delivery is made in 2 to 4 business days.

2020年2月11日 · While surfing the OcCre home page I found a link to a series of short how to videos the made for building one of their kits. It is a series of 70 2-3 minute long silent videos on very basic steps to build a Plank on Bulkhead (POB) kit. It shows the simple basic easy ways to do the build. Not necessary the best way or prettiest way, but easy way.
