2023年2月11日 · Seria Energy Lab (SEL), formerly known as Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) aims to create an education centre for visitors to understand and appreciate the oil and gas industry which has been the strong supporter of Brunei Darussalam’s economy.

We are excited to announce that Oil and Gas Discovery Centre is now rebranded as Seria Energy Lab. Seria Energy Lab or SEL in short, aims to showcase even more exciting exhibitions and educational science programs.

Seria Energy Lab (SEL) is a flagship program by Brunei Shell Petroleum in order to support the growth of science literate in the country. At SEL science is brought to life and made accessible. It is a place where the creative minds are intrigued by the science and technology available to enhance our daily lives.

The Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC; Malay: Pusat Penemuan Minyak dan Gas) is a science centre in Seria, Belait District, Brunei. It was constructed near the Seria Oil Field and was rebranded Seria Energy Lab (SEL) in 2020. As BSP's flagship initiative, it aims to promote the nation's scientific literacy. [1]

After 17 years of diligently promoting science and education in Brunei, OGDC finally closed its curtains to be re-imagined into now “Seria Energy Lab”. Seria Energy lab not only focuses on new energy exhibits.

Check out the Seria Energy Lab, a centre where kids can play and learn! The lab was established to feed the curious young minds and it features multiple exhibitions that’s all about energy. Be sure to see their centrepiece – the AquaLab, a 70,000 litre cylindrical aquarium tank that holds within a jacket leg with various fish and marine animals.
