2008年1月24日 · Claas built the Ford Blue combine of the late 60's - 70's. The model 642 had fingers on the Corn head for "Auto Steering" in the late 70's. As far as I remember they were Claus made. We had a Ford dealer in the area who got stuck with 2 that a guy bought with the idea he would make a fortune doing custom harvesting in corn and soybeans.

Ford sold the 642 combine (and other combines) over seas as well as in the US. The Ford 642 is the equivelent to the (green, white, and red) Class Dominator 85. Ford supplied the 642 combine from 1971 thru 1979.

2008年3月11日 · Ford 611 is the only ford combine that was painted red, and was built by oliver for ford before the contract with claas. the Ford 642 and the 622 were the last models on the ford combine line. the 611 was the first, 620, 630 and 640 were the next models up from the 611.

But there's a ford self perpelled combine sitting about 8 miles west of Guthrie Center Iowa on Highway 44. I'd like to have a second combine, preferably Ford powered. Since I can't tell my wife I NEED it, it's gotta be cheap.

I'm 17 years old now and will own my 642 for as long as I live. The last year the 642 was produced was 1979. It was mfg by Claas in Germany. It's equivelent to the Claas Dominator 85 combine. My opinion, the Ford 642 is one of the best combines I've ever been around. The 642 combines sure are rare but excelent machines if I say so.

2023年8月24日 · Ford self propelled combines could have also been built by Claas in Germany or Ransomes in England. I watched Ford combines coming down the production line in the Claas factory in 1980. Also saw Ford badged Ransomes combines at the Ipswich factory.
