Promotions can be earned with a special currency generically called Company Seals. These seals can also be exchanged with the Grand Company Quartermaster for weapons, armor, crafting materials, and items such as Ventures.

2014年9月21日 · You don't lose your rank at all, when ever you wish to transfer over back to your old GC, your old rank will still be there for that GC. You start out as a new GC rank in a new GC, you'll have to pay a 1 time fee of 50,000 gil. And you must wait 15 days before you can transfer to another GC again.

The icons, names, and GC seal caps exist in the game's data, but there is currently no known method of unlocking the higher ranks marked with TBD yet. (The seal caps are likely to change when they're finally able to be unlocked, so no point in adding unconfirmed information yet.)

You don't really lose anything except the ability to wear equipment from your old GC (they require that you are in the GC to wear them) and you would start at the lowest rank. Your rank for your old GC will still be there if you ever switch back.

Yes, you can switch Grand Companies once you have reached the rank of Second Lieutenant by talking to an NPC in your Grand Company headquarters. Once you switch, you will no longer be able to use any existing Grand Company gear you have, and you'll start at the very beginning rank-wise for your new Grand Company.
