Located on the north side of the downtown Lansing area is Old Town Lansing, a trendy neighborhood of approximately four blocks with boutiques, unique shopping, annual festivals and diverse dining. This was Lansing’s original downtown, before Lansing was even considered as the state’s capital city.

Located in the northern end of Lansing, Michigan, Old Town overlooks the Grand River and a winding bike trail. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the North Lansing Historic Commercial District, the district was established in the mid-19th century.

Old Town is a collection of bars, restaurants and specialty shops on the north side of Lansing just south and east of the airport centered at the intersection of Caesar Chavez and Turner street. Some of the best restaurants in Lansing are located here.
