2018年11月12日 · I feel like a lot of people pick OoT bc of nostalgia, as someone who didn't grow up with either I'd have to go with MM. Honestly, the whole time I was playing through OoT I felt the story was just kinda.. eh. I feel like MM does a better job of really immersing you in the world than OoT, and you feel like you've accomplished more by the end.

When you find a piece of heart that piece of heart will be designated as either OoT or MM and will only be used in the respective world. Same goes for bottles. Namely, you can ONLY save the game by starting a new cycle (the Owl Statues make a temporal quick save instead) in the original. You can only swim at full speed with the electric shield on as Zora Link, and revamped bosses in the 3DS.

MM is my least favourite 3D Zelda game whereas OOT is close to the top. The anxiety-inducing mechanic where you constantly feel you are running out of time undoes everything I enjoy in a Zelda game, namely having time to explore at leisure and really soak in the world.

oot has a better story, better dungeons and a better soundtrack. but what mm has is a better atmosphere and a very dark story. it has a feeling unlike any other game ive ever played. in terms of the better game, oot is better but i prefer mm because of its darkness.

Although WW > OoT > MM > TP is pretty good too. But you should definitely play OoT before MM so that you are used to the game mechanics going into MM. They are very similar gameplay-wise, but MM adds a few technical challenges on top, like the time limits. I always recommend OoT before TP, because TP builds on a lot of the regional themes in OoT.

2022年4月26日 · It makes no sense to play the 3D version of OoT then go play a N64 version for MM on the GCN, Wii or the Switch. How you play the Ocarina is different in the N64 version versus 3D version. The GCN version for MM on the Zelda Collector’s Edition was glitchy due to how Nintendo ported it over.
