2014年6月12日 · I sent my Oppo 105D to Ric Schultz of EVS for his all out mod including his basic mod package, new low jitter clocks, an Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX installed on AC input, J-fet buffer output stages installed on balanced and single ended stereo outputs and center channel out and new linear power supply.

2020年5月4日 · n80 - if you want to apply mods to your Oppo 105D, it can sound better. I own both an Oppo 105, and an Oppo 205 which have been modified by Ric Schultz at EVS. tweak1 mentioned power supply upgrade. That is what Ric does for the Oppo, and it makes a difference. My unit also included a hand-built analog output stage.

2020年3月20日 · The modded Oppo 105D measured 0.6dB louder than the stock Oppo 205. So, if both Oppos were played at their 100 volume setting, the Oppo 105D was liked better. Conversely, if Oppo 105D was set at volume 99, then the 205 would come on top as the subjectively preferred source.

2016年2月26日 · Not sure about in the States, but in Melbourne, Australia I was able to purchase the Cambridge BD-752 brand new for half the RRP of the Oppo 105D. It was a no brainer at that price. I personally prefer the BD-752, finding it more "musically involving" than the 105, which in limited listening was a bit too analytical and etched for my tastes.

2015年10月27日 · Yes, my thinking was similar leading me to using the 105D as a DAC fed by my Mac Mini running Audirvana+. I can spin visitor's CD/SACDs from the Oppo as well as connect external drives directly to the Oppo(yes, some geek friends bring over a drive!).
