Electromagnetically induced transparency - Wikipedia
Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is a coherent optical nonlinearity which renders a medium transparent within a narrow spectral range around an absorption line. Extreme dispersion is also created within this transparency "window" which leads to "slow light", described below.
Thermo-optically induced transparency on a photonic chip
2021年12月3日 · Thermo-optically induced transparency is a versatile implementation of EIT-analogs in an integrated photonic platform, at arbitrary wavelength of interest,...
Electromagnetically induced transparency at a chiral ... - Nature
2020年1月13日 · Here we show, both theoretically and experimentally, a way to control optical analogues of EIT in a system of two indirectly coupled WGM microresonators, by directly constructing chiral...
Electromagnetically induced transparency in optical microcavities
Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is a quantum interference effect arising from different transition pathways of optical fields. Within the transparency window, both absorption and dispersion properties strongly change, which results in extensive applications such as slow light and optical storage.
Electromagnetically induced transparency: Optics in coherent …
2005年7月12日 · As a basis for the theory of electromagnetically induced transparency the authors consider the atomic dynamics and the optical response of the medium to a continuous-wave laser. They then discuss pulse propagation and the adiabatic evolution of field-coupled states and show how coherently prepared media can be used to improve frequency ...
In electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), the quan-tum destructive interference between excitation pathways to the upper level in three-level atomic systems has led to a sharp cancellation of absorption in the medium [1], result-ing in phenomena such as lasing without inversion and freezing light [2], and dynamical storage of light in a...
Controlled Electromagnetically Induced Transparency and Fano …
2016年3月9日 · Transverse optical field is used to control the phenomenon of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in the output probe laser field. By observing output probe field spectra, we...
Optical quantum memory based on electromagnetically induced ...
EIT is an optical phenomenon in atoms that uses quantum interference to induce transparency into an otherwise resonant and opaque medium. EIT can be used for slow light, light storage and quantum memory applications. In EIT, the detuning, Δ, between the two-photon resonance and the excited level is small (within the linewidth of the excited ...
Tunable N-level EIT: Deterministic Generation of Optical States …
2025年3月15日 · Strong optical nonlinearities are key to a range of technologies, particularly in the generation of photonic quantum states. The strongest nonlinearity in hot atomic vapors originates from electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), which, while effective, often lacks tunability and suffers from significant losses due to atomic absorption. We propose and demonstrate an N-level EIT scheme ...
Induced Transparency with Optical Cavities - Qin - 2020
2020年9月30日 · The first discovered and most striking type of induced transparency plays electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in atomic systems. Optical cavities serve as a more ideal and feasible platform for realizing the effects of induced transparency, which leads to considerable demonstrations in theory and experiments.
