Auto-montage is an Optos Advance feature that produces montaged images by detecting the centers of the fovea and the optic nerve head in a series of images. The software then registers and blends the images to produce a single image with maximum field of view. Auto-montage works with both opto map color and opto map green af imaging modes.

Optos Advance can automatically create a “virtual series” that contains all images in a study in the order they were acquired. The virtual series is added to the side panel and the series icon shows four images side-by-side.

The following examples show common ways to arrange images using study layouts and views. Available views depend on your Optos Advance implementation. The following example shows a 1x2 study layout. This creates two side-by-side screens with a different series in each screen.

Customizing tools involves two steps: Create templates that define the tools assigned to the toolbar, Annotations menu and image viewer context menu. Select the tool templates you want to use when working in Optos Advance. If you access Settings while viewing a study, select Back to Viewer to return to the image viewing area. Select Settings.

Creating a Patient in Optos: If you are wanting to create a new patient in the Optos system through Crystal, you can do so through the Optos Capture or Optos Scheduler software. To do this, you will need to add a button to the records section of Crystal that, when clicked, opens up the Optos Capture or Optos Scheduler software.

Two years later, he developed a prototype of what is now known as the opto map® image—the only single-capture, ultra-widefield retinal image to reveal up to 200 degrees (82%) of the retina.
