Otto/Walker Architects was founded on the dual principles of designing structures which fulfill the aesthetic as well as practical desires of its clients while utilizing all the attributes a building site has to offer.

Otto Walker was a leading racer of the 1910s and early 1920s and was one of Harley-Davidson’s first factory riders. He won the first major race for the company, an FAM 300-mile road race in Venice, California, in April of 1915. Walker set numerous speed records during his eight-year professional racing career.

Upon his return from the war, Harley-Davidson quickly reinstated Otto Walker as one of their representatives. In February of 1921, Walker set an astounding record. He became the first-ever racer to win a race while maintaining an average speed of over 100 mph.

The Harley-Davidson team was led by Harry "Otto" Walker who throughout his life was always called "Otto." Born in Lathrop, California on the 4th of July in 1890, the man who was elected "Captain" by his fellow teammates began his racing career in 1911 on one of those "fast" ported Excelsiors that did so well that year.
