If Outlook defaults to opening in a browser you either have a desktop web link icon for Outlook or you are using Outlook PWA (Personal Web App). The actual Outlook App is definitely an App included with Office.

Supposedly Office 365 is a subscription and Office 2019 is a one-time purchase key card. When I open my office on my laptop, and I click on the Outlook, it takes me to a web browser to log-in. I can't figure out how to get the Outlook desktop version that works like when you go into a normal place of business & open your emails.

I thought Office 365 BASIC was to provide enhanced desktop version of Outlook, and web version of other Office apps. Regardless, I still appreciate your reply
