Overcast works with the open, standard world of podcasts with public RSS feeds. Simply add your podcast to Apple Podcasts and it’ll show up here. It’s not a separate platform, and all downloads go directly to your servers.

Most Overcast accounts do not have email addresses or passwords. If you’ve set them:

Overcast uses server-side crawling, centrally fetching your RSS feed for all Overcast listeners to deliver new episodes faster and save bandwidth. Each listener still downloads your audio directly from your servers.

2022年10月28日 · I’ve decided to discontinue most of the web player’s functionality in 2023 and focus exclusively on the Overcast app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and M1/M2-powered Macs. As Overcast has grown over the years, the website player hasn’t — I’ve never had the time or the modern-web-development skills to make it a great way to use Overcast.

Add Podcast to Overcast. Overcast automatically finds most podcasts added to Apple Podcasts. If your podcast isn’t showing up in Overcast, you may manually add it here. It will not appear in search results until Overcast can verify its inclusion in Apple Podcasts. For more information, see Info for Podcasters. Feed URL:

If it’s useful to you, I’d love if you promoted Overcast occasionally in your podcasts (if there’s a graceful way to do so). If that wouldn’t fit in your podcast’s format or style, don’t wedge it in — just don’t worry about it.
