What is it like working at an overnight summer camp?
2021年1月6日 · First and for most- people aren’t counselors for the pay ;). I feel like at overnight camp you challenge your whole self in a more rewarding way than day camp. You really have a chance to create a relationship with your campers that is so unique. You are literally in charge of their well being 24/7, which is a lot of pressure but so so rewarding.
Working at overnight camp for first time! Advice please!! - Reddit
2023年4月24日 · If your camp has a Facebook group for staff, I’d suggest joining that. I wouldn’t worry too much about being able to make friends. The wonderful thing about camp is that people won’t really know you yet, which gives you a chance to meet people who don’t have preconceptions about you. I struggle with social anxiety, but much less so at camp.
Recommendation for overnight kids' summer camp without
2024年1月7日 · i absolutely second this. mansfield gets shit on a lot but hidden hollow/friendly house are the real deal. the friendly house was there for me and other (mildly underprivileged) kids many days. provided after school care, swimming lessons, community outreach, so much more. hidden hollow is the quintessential summer camp IMO. so happy to see it mentioned here!!
Sending a 7 year old to overnight camp for one month?
I went to an overnight camp for many years in the early 2000s, and family/friends were encouraged to email their campers via the camp website. Every day after lunch, we got a candy bar of our choice, plus the printed emails addressed to us. It was so great to read the notes from my mom every day, and anyone else who wrote!

overnight camp or day camp? : r/summercamp - Reddit
2023年12月29日 · Overnight camp does give you more of a chance to bond with campers and other counselors, mostly because you are required to spend more time with them and they are more removed from their regular lives. You could also look at other options, like family camps, where guests are overnight but you don’t have to stay in the cabin with them!

2022年1月15日 · Day Camp Cons: You won't form quite as strong relationships with either your campers or your co-counselors (nothing beats living with people!), with the pandemic still looming overhead, Day Camps are likely to have stricter COVID restrictions as campers and staff are constantly going in and out of the camp community. Overnight car camping around summit county : r/COsnow - Reddit
2021年3月2日 · I car camp at the Frisco Walmart all the time. You’ll have some rich summit county assholes in here telling you not to do it, but trust me, do it anyways. I’ve slept at the Frisco Walmart with the other RVs probably about 8 times this season and the worst I’ve had is a letter under my windshield wiper telling me I need to move before 24hrs.
Should I work at an overnight camp this summer of 2021?
2021年2月2日 · I’m somewhat introverted, but love working with children and honestly can be extroverted and energetic. I have some experience which is why I wanted to work at an overnight camp. Working with children and being in a camp environment is 100% the reason I started to apply and even thought about applying.
