2017年2月13日 · Honestly, I've had a couple doing cam swaps that set this code. 3 to be exact, and each time I had the tech tear it apart, to verify timing, and nothing. would restart and code still there, but would eventually just disappear through the tuning process.

2006年7月15日 · I used the mini vci (tech stream)to read the code and it said p0016. I replaced both cam position and crank position sensor, cleared the code from the ecu memory. Code came 40 miles later. The engine drives perfectly with the code present. My next step is replacing the intake cam gear. Side note: timing chain is on time.

2020年11月10日 · P0016 is a problem with cam to crank correlation- ie the pattern generated by the cam sensor doesn't "line up" correctly or sync with the crank sensor pattern. (the camshaft isn't where the ecm wants it to be).

2016年6月17日 · P0016 P0121 P0449 P0455 449 and 455 are irrelevant The truck is drive by wire so I replaced the gas pedal, it was in stock at LAPS so I figured common issue. Cleared codes, wife drove it around. Says its better but still hesitates. Pulled codes again this time only P0016 is present. She has also complained of a rattle that I have not heard myself.

2025年1月28日 · if it's only P0016 and no other codes, it will be almost certain that it's a stretched timing chain. Try driving it harder like full acceleration and then slowdown and repeat the process, then switch to "B" mode and drive it aggressively. The code will become permanent over time.

2021年3月25日 · So we just did a cam swap and the first start sounded miserable. I looked at the scanner and was reading negative 15-20 degrees of timing. It was popping and everything. Once the car warmed up a big the timing returned and sounded excellent but I noticed it had a P0016 cam/crank correlation code. I'm going to try a crank relearn and go from there.
