2012年9月10日 · My 2007 SLT Yukon got a CEL yesterday that I scanned to be P0442 EVAP Small Leak Detected... I have cleared the code, checked the gas cap, it does seem OK to me. Didn't get the CEL again. Not sure what to do next, but could this be related to the fact that I almost never get a straight refill at the gas station without having to do it manually?

2021年6月26日 · Everything was checked or replaced and it still throws the code. Like clockwork. I did talk to a couple of GM techs about this and they said that there is some kind of vacuum pump on the EVAP system that generates a slight 1 inch water's worth of vacuum and holds the system sealed for about 10 seconds to see if there is any drop in the vacuum.

2021年1月14日 · Ive had a P0442 code for quite a while and every now and then I get the urge to look into it. Replaced the gas cap and the Purge solenoid. Neither of those fixed it. I did find a broke a tube that connects to the purge solenoid. It was broken at the 90 degree nipple. I slipped it back on and used electrical tape to secure it for the time being.

2019年9月13日 · Our 09 Tahoe gave codes P0442 & P0449. Awhile back the 442 came up, replaced the gas cap with a GM cap from GM Part Direct. Just the other day 442 & 449 came up, reset the light and it stayed off for about a week. Any other ideas?

2021年4月29日 · Good evening, so I’ve been getting a p0442 code (small evap leak) now I’ve already changed that one part before, I forgot what it was called but I had to remove the spare tire to get to it and it sat on top of the fuel tank if I remember correctly. From time to time it also says to tighten the fuel cap, even when it’s tight already.
