2013年7月15日 · My CEL came on today. I used an OBD sensor to read the code and came out as P048C. Some googling suggested that it's a problem with the exhaust flap, though the problem was reported on Jettas. I only have a 1000 miles on the car so I am kind of disappointed. I hope this isn't the start of endless trips to the dealer...

2015年5月13日 · Happy ending to the P048C trouble code on my car. Even though my VIN wasn't on the list for the extended warranty TSB, the dealer called VWoA and got the whole thing covered. 100%. Also, had the ECM recall and the rear suspension campaign item taken care of. And, a loaner car for two days. Nice to report good news.

2014年8月28日 · P048C 00 [237] Implausible Signal I cleared the code and it popped up about 5 minutes later. Planned to take the unit out of the exhaust and clean the inside it up with oven cleaner. The MIL went away yesterday afternoon. The VW is acting like a Toyota. It fixes itself. sweet. I may take the unit off just to do an inspection.

2022年6月12日 · The check engine light had come on shortly after the splash shield came loose, which I was told is unrelated. The technician ran a diagnostic and got the code P048C which indicates a problem with the exhaust control valve; however upon my splash shield being re-secured, the CEL turned off. My question is about the urgency of this light.

2006年2月15日 · Just got back from the dealer with the same problem. They cleared the code and said all was OK but when they pulled the car around for me it came back on. The dealer listed a different code (P0481) than what I got on VCDS (P048C). I think they made a typo since they spelled out the exhaust flap on exhaust. Won't be able to get it fixed until ...
