I have an "arctic" package on the car (battery, block, oil heater) but didnt leave it plugged in when I flew away for a weekend. Car barely made it home.

2016年12月21日 · Hey All, I have a I have a 2010 JSW TDI, 176k miles. Recently threw the P0638 code. After watching a few youtube videos I removed the throttle body, cleaned it thoroughly with carb cleaner and re-installed it. Code, engine and (blinking) glow plug still there. Any updates from anyone on the best resolution here? Thx much.

2018年5月8日 · Did a quick search here for P0638. Found 13 posts, including @stevenva 's and links to posts in the LegacyGT forum. Most of them are 05 or 06 turbos. There's one report of the code in an 09 diesel, but no H4 non-turbos.

2011年11月2日 · The glow plug light returned later that day and I pulled the P0638 code. I followed the suggestion in one of the above posts to disconnect and reconnect the battery to try and resolve the issue. After doing this I had a constant flashing glow plug light, so I decided this is was an issue that could not wait for me to make it back to my own garage.

2012年2月21日 · Hey folks, I know TDIs don't technically have a throttle body flap, but it has a lot of names depending on whom you ask. My car just gave me a blinking glow plug light, along with a solid CEL, so I scanned it with VCDS and pulled a P0638 implausible signal code. I pulled the valve and cleaned it up, cleared the codes, but they came right back.
