2023年8月28日 · While there is a leather Sling, Pattern of 1914, it doesn’t mean it’s a P14 rifle sling. The “P14 sling” is really just a wartime substitute standard. A narrower version of the earlier leather slings. Either web or leather is correct for a P14 rifle and the SMLE of the era. The P14 sling was reintroduced during the second war.

2008年12月16日 · For a US M1917 rifle, yes. My original Pattern 14 has a standard British pattern web sling, black in color. The brass ends are marked H.G. & R. Ltd. over 1917. Several British regiments used black slings. Someone will chime in with which ones. They are legitimate.
