Both P1610 and P1614 indicate a NATS (anti-theft system) malfunction, yet P1610 is a resulting DTC from the "LOCK MODE" condition which is set for various NATS malfunctions or an improper key being used. It prevents the car from starting (for some period of time, even if the key issue is rectified).

Car came in, died while driving. No voltage to most sensors and no communication with scanner. After changing pcm and reprogram from locksmith, have power to all sensors, good spark no fuel injector pulse and p1610 code keeps coming back. Every time you turn the key on. Also have no rpm signal from crank sensor.

Please help very desperate my question is for my nissan almera 53 reg having problem starting it. Code givin is p1610 nats malfunction and p1614 nats malfunction car was absolutely fine but one morning got in the car and it wont start at all and the immobiliser red key light stays on it wont turn at all, havent dropped the key and the key still holds the code as I have got it checked.

I have the VRX model. The car cranks, has compression and I have visually confirmed the timing belt is intact and turning. It is throwing a DTC of P1610 which the internet tells me is an immobilizer issue. However, unlike all of the descriptions of immobilizer issues the security light does not blink ever or turn on at all.
