The Mil request active means the computer is commanding the light on due to a issue. Your scanner sounds like a VW capable tool, try clearing the codes and If you can clear the OBD2 codes. The VW's use a partitioned computer, one side for OBD2 generic and the other for the VW specific. A code in the OBD2 might not show up in VAG, or vice versa.

The P1624 code could be oil in the Secondary Air Pump connector near the oil filter. A large fan motor with a large black connector with a red and brown wire. Oil filters when changed tend to leak oil and it will collect in the connector, creating resistance causing codes.
