2015年3月18日 · They wanted about $700 so I wen't elsewhere for the work. After I had the thermostat replaced I noticed that the radiator fan would run full blast, even if the engine was cold. I shut the engine off (still cold) and the fan continued to run. After going back to my mechanic he said I had a P2184 Temperature Sensor 2 Fault.

2016年1月16日 · Did you ever get to the bottom of this issue? I am having P2184 and indication of intermittent ect#2 sensor. I bought one from autozone and replaced the one I thought was the #2 sensor. It was the one located just above the transmission behind 2 coolant lines. I had to remove the airbreather and the battery and tray to access it.

Customer: Hi i have vw golf mk5 gti 2.0l axx engine. I have a code for p2184 ect 2 circuit low. I checked wiring and no power signal. So i tracked down the wiring to fuse box and found that fuses f9, f10, f11,f12 and f13 have only 3.5v getting to it. I tested the relay that is feeding the power supply to these fuses and it seems to be okay.

2010年8月24日 · Sounds like the wiring is loose on one end of the connector harness. I had the same issue with an EGT sensor, kept bouncing around and throwing CEL's left and right because the temp was "too high" or "out of range". 3 sensors later, VW troubleshot the harness finally.

Customer: My BMW 320i 2007mwith 135k miles on it is showing "radiator coolant temperature sensor circuit high", and the car has little power, I am unable to rev above 2000rpm.
