2019年1月17日 · It's throwing codes: P228D, P0089, P0016, P0017. It is also showing Stabilitrack and reduced engine power messages. I've looked up all those codes and there is a ton of possible causes between them all. I assume the P0016 and P0017 are popping up just because it's running rough and that the real culprit lies in the P228D and P0089 codes.

2019年10月31日 · Randomly intermittent P0089 and P228D. Seems to only do it at Idle and in gear about a 1/2 hr into driving. If put into neutral, park or raise the rpm just off of idle the symptoms and high pressure returns to normal.

2021年7月24日 · I have a 2010 Equinox 2.4 with a code P228D. I have replaced the high pressure fuel pump and after driving for a short time today the engine idled rough at park and stalled twice upon starting. The check engine light came on again (after clearing upon installation of new pump). Had the codes read and they are the same - P228D.

2022年3月23日 · P228D – Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 exceeded control limits – Pressure too high. P0089 – Fuel Pressure Regulator Performance. P0420 – Catalyst System. The o2 sensors still think there is a catalytic convertor there. My code reader records freeze frame data only for the first code. I got lucky so I have the data for the P228D.

2020年10月8日 · I have Chevy equinox 2010, 2.4L LTZ, Code P228D remains permanent and after driving a while, Code P0089 appears with Enggine power reduced and stabilitrack code pop up on screen. I bought a new high pressure pump from Amazon, the problem still persist.
