2007 Rubicon, 3.8L. I had a P0300, multiple cylinder misfire and P2302 Ignition Coil 2nd circuit/A Insufficient ionization a few weeks back with the Jeep running awful. I even had the rotten egg smell at the onset but haven't had it since. I haven't really left the driveway though.

Hoping to not have to keep dumping money into it by simply trying to guess what it is. I also check/cleaned the grounds on the fenders and they seemed fine.

Its also getting cat and evap codes, but that is normal. 204,000 miles and its time for my 4th catalytic converter...

P2302 is related to coil #1 so start by checking to see if dark green/orange wire has good 12v, if so then check to see if black/gray wire which goes between coil and pin 10 of connector 2 on PCM has under 5 ohms of resistance and connectors are tight/clean.

The P0301 and P2302 code indicate an issue with the coil on cylinder 1 and a misfire on cylinder 1. Customer.

Customer: 06 dodge ram 1500 5.7l code p2302 keeps coming and going. Swapped coil packs. Changed to different gas. Tried running some octane booster. Replace spark plugs. Still issues. Light comes on and truck starts stuttering.

Let me give you some backstory to this. Cylinder 1 coil exploded in the engine and melted the connector. Also the ignition asd.fuse.blew. relaced the fuse and got the p2302 code. Replaced the coil, plug and connector. Code still present. Replaced the ecm. Code still present. Checked the wiring and cant find any problems.
