I got an ODB II device and confirmed the P2404 then went on to get more info. This is one of the pieces of info that I, this was the only failure btw. I have no idea what it means though. your p2404 should not cause a running or shifting problem. this is likely a different issue. check your transmission fluid , make sure you havee brake lights and have your engine and transmission computers scanned for codes again and record any new codes that might have set.

P2404 is for the brake lamp switch, P2315 is for no communication with the instrument cluster, and I'm not sure what the 2515 is. I would like to see a capable scanner pull fault codes out of the Transmission computer itself to see if you have a bad speed sensor inside the transmission.
