Normal P Wave. The P wave is the first deflection of the cardiac cycle seen on an EKG. It represents the electrical activity associated with atrial depolarization. The normal P wave is a low amplitude, vertical, rounded wave, resembling a gentle hill, which is continued immediately from the QRS complex.
