In this study, we show that p67phox is constitutively phosphorylated in resting human neutrophils and that neutrophil stimulation with PMA further enhanced this phosphorylation.

We found that the interaction of p67 phox with phosphorylated Prdx6 (phosphoPrdx6) inhibits the PLA 2 activity of the enzyme, consistent with a consequent termination of the initiating signal for NOX2 activation.
