RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SEQUENCE FROM A VIDEOTAPE REVEALED THAT THE ACFT'S SPEED AT THE TIME OF THE WING SEPARATIONS WAS 220 KTS. VNE FOR THE ACFT IS 193 KTS. IT WAS CALCULATED THAT, AT 220 KTS & AN 8 DEG NOSE-UP PITCH, THE 'G' LOAD AT THE TIME OF THE WING SEPARATIONS WOULD HAVE BEEN 8.3 G'S.

Crash of a Partenavia P.68C in Plainview: 1 killed
The pilot was executing a high speed pass over the runway at about 250 feet agl. The pilot then began a rapid pull-up and both wings separated just outboard of the engine nacelles. Reconstruction of the sequence from a videotape revealed that the aircraft's speed at the time of the wing separations was 220 knots. Vne for the aircraft is 193 knots.

2023年8月24日 · Shortly after takeoff from Besakoa Airfield, the twin engine airplane crashed, bursting into flames. A passenger was killed and four other occupants were injured and evacuated to Antananarivo. The airplane was en route to Moramba. The twin engine aircraft departed Waterford Airport for a local survey flight.

2023年10月18日 · On Sunday 15th, a (rather rare) P68R took off from Aviosuperficie Castel Volturno (just northwest of Naples), with a 20-minute flightplan, on a local test flight, and then disappeared. Even four days later, nothing has ever been found in the Gulf of Naples. The guy was 74 years old, a famous sailor and also a very experienced pilot.

At the A&E, the pilot and operator were put on oxygen for three hours. The hospital doctor issued a work accident report with a 48-hour sick leave certificate.
