The AWZ P70 "Zwickau" is a small family car which was produced in East Germany by VEB Automobilwerke Zwickau (AWZ) between 1955 and 1959. [ 1 ] It succeeded the IFA F8 using the same 684 cc two-cylinder, two-stroke engine but with a completely new Duroplast body on a wooden frame and plywood floor.

The P70 was the first of the Pennsy's 80-foot all-steel coaches. Over 1,000 of the cars were built by Altoona and several other car builders between 1907 and 1929. The early cars featured 88 seats, but as of 1926 they were built with 80 seats.

2017年7月14日 · AWZ P70, the successor to the IFA F8, was manufactured by Audi factory (internal designation F8 K). It has the same chassis, but shorter wheelbase and rotated by 180 degrees engine located in the front of the front axle. The two-cylinder engine was based on the F8 unit, but had a light-alloy head with a middle plug (power was increased to 22 hp).
