P88 VS P92 for a beginner? What are the pros and cons?
The p88 is more of a traditional blade. The bottom of the blade is flatter, and the face is more neutral. The p92 has more rockered bottom, and the blade face is more open, meaning the toe has a slight twist that helps to elevate the puck. The reason the p92 is more popular now, is that it's better for shooting off the toe, specifically for ...

2023年11月8日 · The P14’s blade is relatively short compared to other patterns like the P88 and P92, which can impact puck control and handling. I like to consider the P14 the older option for a toe curve that is good for toe release shots, and the P28 is the new and improved toe curve that feels all around better for control and accuracy.

2010年6月30日 · With the p88 I find that I have to rely more on proper form to elevate the puck vs. being able to do it with a quick snap of the wrists/minimal windup with the p92. Once I got used to it, the p92 huge help with getting off quick, accurate shots under game pressure.

You would have to roll your wrists further foreword vs the P88. You would want something more like a P28 which has a closed toe curve for cupping the puck and making toe drags easier. The P88 has a slight middle curve, but the face doesn’t open nearly as much as the P92 curve. I feel this curve is almost “flat” like a wall, just because it barely opens at the toe in comparison.

2021年2月4日 · P88 is more of a mid curve than a P92, which is more of a toe curve. I prefer the P40/P88 when shooting from the dots and back. When I think of the P88, I’m more or less thinking of the old Easton Sakic, which I still use.
