2005年12月29日 · My first airplane, and lightest flying Cub I've ever been in, was a 1951 PA-18 with a 108 HP O-235 stuffed in the front end. A very capable and worthy little airplane. While a J-3 is a cute toy, and good for absolutely nothing but doing absolutely nothing (but having fun), an old Cub with flaps will do whatever mission you need to do with it.

2024年9月4日 · With a single wing tank, and no electric, they're extremely good performers. If you can find either one at a price you can live with, buy it! I've had both, 11 is the sweetheart as far as flying harmony. 18 is a little heavier but you get a usable baggage compartment, better adjustable front seat and headroom.
