Nov 4, 2024 · The PA-CAT (Physician Assistant College Admission Test) is a specialized standardized exam for PA program applicants. It assesses candidates' readiness for PA school, covering topics like anatomy, physiology, biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and behavioral sciences.

Applications to take the PANCE are only accepted within 90 days of graduation from a PA program. PANCE is a computer based exam with 300 multiple choice questions. There are five blocks of 60 questions each, with an hour allotted to the completion of each block. Test takers are also permitted a total of 45 minutes between the sections.
