Polymer-bonded explosive - Wikipedia
Polymer-bonded explosives, also called PBX or plastic-bonded explosives, are explosive materials in which explosive powder is bound together in a matrix using small quantities (typically 5–10% by weight) of a synthetic polymer.
Polymer bonded explosives (PBXs) consist of explosive components bound together by a polymeric binder. The most common binder systems in current PBXs are polyurethane based and contain plasticisers and other chemicals that alter processability, mechanical properties and chemical stability.
Safety properties ... SUMMARY Poly Bd® R20LM is a HTPB with a low molecular weight and a low viscosity when used to prepare a cast cured PBX (instead of PolyBd R45HTLO), the viscosity of the paste is significantly decreased. That allows to increase the percentage of the filler content
