2024年1月23日 · It did this by producing 2000 cars of a new design. The new design, designated the G29, included all steel construction with welded underframe, tight Dreadnaught ends, solid bottom and wood floors. The standard for gons had recently changed from 40' to 46' inside length and the Pennsy followed suit. The cars used National Type B-1 trucks.

2023年9月15日 · The PRR G29 were straight sided, steel 46’ general service gondolas built in 1941. Sunshine does have a kit for them or you can easily kitbash the car. The G29A and G29B were built in 1942 using straight truss sides with wood linings.

5 天之前 · I just came back from the Knox & Kane, in Marienville, PA, and brought home its former gondola open car, a PRR G29d 349138. Now only two freight cars remain there: a Cambria & Indiana two-bay hopper and a riveted tank car.
