P70gsR -- Another group of P70s were rebuilt to class P70gsR (Scheme 4) in 1939 and renumbered between #4310-4359. P70gsR cars #4310-4359 were rebuilt over the summer of 1939. The first half of 1942 saw the rebuild of P70gsR coaches #4194-4243.

A Hellgate models B60 baggage car kit is a prototypical PRR baggage car. I do not have a model of the next car, a PB70 coach baggage, but I substituted a custom painted a prototypical Model Power model of a PBM70 with a 15’ RPO in front of the baggage section.

PENNSYLVANIA P70 ANd P70R COACH new steel coach with increased capacity and improved design. This car was designated the P70 and it was destined to become the standard PRR passenger coach design for many years. The first one was outshopped in 1907. Rebuilding continued well into the 1960s.
