2018年12月28日 · Prepping for a massive plastic kit building endeavor over the holidays. Twelve of the kits are Branchline X43B, X43C, and X44 box cars. I opened one kit to preview the instructions and noted two options: These will all be early 1950s era cars with Circle Keystone. So which ladder and roof walk choice are correct? Thanks!

2022年5月31日 · Finished a PRR X43C boxcar that started with a Branchline 40' kit. I first stripped the paint and then assembled it. However I did add new sidesills to match the cars as the PRR rebuilt them plus the ladders were also lowered. I added Kadee #178 couplers and Tangents excellent 50-ton ASF trucks.

When it arrived in the early 80s (from New Haven, Conn.), it carried the last PRR 1962 "simple" lettering scheme.
