2017年9月21日 · EG Series 2 models had the PRS locking tuners, and had the option of a 3-piece maple top. The EG Series 2 are more sought after than the EG Series 1, but both are nice PRS models at relatively bargain prices. I haven't priced one in a long time; considering where you are in eastern Europe the $850 shouldn't be too bad a price for a 1990-1991 PRS.

2011年1月30日 · The guitar also rings and resonates loud compared to my strat when strung unplugged. The neck on this USA PRS guitar plays much better than my PRS SE (singlecut) even though I believe they are both 10" radius. Something about the frets I like and feels better to my fingers (compared to the Korean PRS SE frets).

2009年3月29日 · Prs EG-3 1991 USA made with the 3 Fralin Domino single coil pickups. Alder body, with solid color. I have heard they sound great, but the neck joint is really weak. Anybody, own, or has owned one? I have a chance to get one on a trade, and trying to decide.

2011年12月5日 · The pickups in the EG-3 are not the same as the Fralin zero hum models that Fralin sells now (and the zero hums are not a drop in replacement). The domino pickups (as they are commonly referred to as) were built by PRS - with Lindy Fralin consulting.

2010年12月23日 · I own a great 1993 EG-3 with three Dominos, and yes, the Tone knob pulls up for a mid-boost—not a humbucker setting. However, at full 10 on the knob, either up or down position will sound the same... full treble. But once you start rolling off the knob, that’s when it behaves as either a regular tone control or a mid-boost.

2015年4月15日 · The EG Bolts had alder bodies and bolt on maple necks -- PRS's first attempt at Fender construction. You could get Stratty with it using the coil taps and middle pickup. Curious how the SE EGs compare to the original EGs.

2005年3月30日 · The original EG series did not come with Fralin pups. Don't know much about those either. My recollection is about 92 or 93 PRS changed the EG Series model numbers to EG I, EG II and EG III. I believe the EG I had two Fralins and a bridge HB, the EG II was set up like a SAS (as far as pups) and the EG III was three Fralins.

2023年9月6日 · Since then, I have installed them in a could dual humbucker guitars, but as of right now they live in my 1991 PRS CE24. That guitar was already pretty bright, but it seemed like the stock pickups were kind of dull and lifeless, and then any PAF style I threw in it didn't end up having the top end cut I like to hear.
