2021年11月17日 · Otherwise, gaming on PS3 Linux is a no-go, or very rudimentary (though it does run fakenes Nintendo emulator quite well). What the PS3 is great for in Linux is as an educational tool for learning about the Cell/B.E. CPU (and high performance computing concepts, by extension) which is luckily my major area of interest.

2022年4月27日 · HEN cannot boot into Petitboot, hence it cannot boot into Linux. Your best experience will be running an ancient distro like Yellow Dog Linux on a CFW PS3. And do old, retro stuff on it. Or run Red Ribbon Linux for slightly newer stuff. It's otherwise pretty useless. No GPU acceleration on new distros either.

Would be able to easily emulate everything up to and including the PS2, even reading the games directly from the BR drive. Sony sells those old games on their store. XBMC gets ported to PS3.
