The PO 4X24-01 is the new generation of the PSO type Russian military spec optics for the SVD/Tigr rifles. It's manufactured by NPZ (Novosibirskiy Priborostroitelniy Zavod) in Russia. It has black matt finish, standard PSO type illuminated reticule (uses AA battery, not included).

POSP 4x24M has a built-in 1000 m dual rangefinder for the target 1,8 m. It is possible to conduct aimed shooting in conditions of insufficient illumination of the grid. The sight is filled with nitrogen, which prevents fogging of the optical surfaces at temperature differences.

PSO Series are the original optic for the SVD Dragunov rifle. The military versions are PSO-1 and the more modern PSO-1M2 briefly seen on civilian Tiger rifles that made it into the USA in about 1994.

PSO 4x24V was designed from the onset to properly fit and ergonomically function on Kalashnikov applications. The PSO "V" style variant is specific to the AK series rifle, and will provide the proper eye relief and attaching mechanism for most types of AK optic side plate.

This telescopic sight is different from the original PSO-1 only in that it lacks the now obsolete infrared detector. The metal body of the PSO-1 is made from a magnesium alloy. The PSO-1 features a battery-powered red illuminated reticle with light provided by a simple diode bulb.
