The PWS-10 was a Polish fighter aircraft, constructed in the PWS (Podlaska Wytwórnia Samolotów - Podlasie Aircraft Factory). It was the first Polish-designed fighter to enter serial production.

PWS-10 – polski samolot myśliwski konstrukcji inż. Aleksandra Grzędzielskiego oraz inż. Augusta Bobka-Zdaniewskiego, produkowany w Podlaskiej Wytwórni Samolotów. Był to pierwszy polski samolot myśliwski produkowany seryjnie.

Designed by Aleksander Grzedzielski and Augustyn Bobek-Zdaniewski, the P.W.S.10 single-seat parasol monoplane fighter was the recipient of an order for two prototypes in 1929, the first of these flying in May 1930.

2024年8月11日 · The PWS-10 did not have a good reputation among pilots due to its flying characteristics and being prone to catching fire. Nevertheless, it briefly served the needs of the young Polish Air Force. This book offers a detailed development history of the PWS-10 fighter designed by Polish engineers from the Podlaska Aircraft Factory in 1928.

It has its place in history as the very first all-Polish fighter to enter serial production. It replaced the French SPAD 61s in their Air Force and design began in in 1927. It first flew in March 1930, at the same time as the PZL P1, a more modern fighter, was developed.
