PZL.46 Sum was a projected light bomber of the Polish Air Force before World War II, that remained a prototype. The PZL.46 Sum (wels catfish) was designed by Stanisław Prauss in the PZL works as a successor to standard Polish light bomber and reconnaissance plane, the PZL.23 Karaś, also of Prauss' design. First sketches were made in 1936.

PZL P.46/II second prototype of light bomber, attack and reconnaissance aircraft developed to replace the P.23/P.43 series. The prototype was flown to Romania and interned. In great secrecy Polish personnel managed to prepare the machine for one more important flight.
