Styles like the Amritsari Pagg, Malwai Pagg, and Nok Pagg each carry distinct historical and cultural significance. Patiala Shahi is a style of turban (pagg) common among Sikh men, originating in Punjab, India. "Patiala Shahi" literally means "Patiala royal": this style of turban was worn by Bhupinder Singh , the ruler of Patiala State .

Modern Sikh men mainly wear four kinds of turban: Wattan Wali Turban, Amritsar Shahi Turban, Barnala Shahi and Taksali Dumala. The more traditional Turban styles are the Darbara Singh Dummala, Dastar Bunga (the original turban of the Khalsa) and the Puratan Nok Pagg. The Dastar are closely related to Dumalla.

2023年6月30日 · Turban/Pagg is tie up by Sikh men who have shaggy hair. There are various styles of pagg. Pagg was fundamentally introduced as a format of turban during Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s rule.

Over time with cross migration of Sikh from Punjab, and abroad the Patiala, Pagg has evolved. The style has been affected, but, the Patiala Shahi Pagg is still considered as an art form. The Patiala Paag is known to be capturing the care-free spirit as the larhs (layers), on both sides do not require to be worn neatly or in a distinguished manner.
